I am passionate about providing holistic health care to women throughout motherhood and assisting children in building strong foundations of health and happiness for their lives. I am a mom and love being able to relate to my clients through our shared experiences. I am certified in the Webster Prenatal Technique, Pediatric Chiropractic Techniques, and have completed post-graduate courses in holistic preconception support. Sitting cross-legged creates imbalances in the pelvis and muscles of the pelvic floor.
These imbalances can lead to tension and make it difficult for baby to get into the best position possible for birth. A balanced pelvis promotes optimal position for baby, as well as more comfort and ease during labor. During pregnancy, it is best to sit with legs apart and both feet planted on the ground. Did you know chiropractic care can help with reflux in babies? Let us explain ⬇️ If your baby’s nervous system is stressed out, it won’t be able to function optimally. I know what you’re thinking. Yes, babies deal with stress too! 🔹 For example, the physical stresses of birth or any birth interventions can cause subluxations or misalignments. Subluxations can affect the functioning of the nervous system, disrupting communication between the brain and the rest of the body. AKA the nervous system is controlling your baby’s gastrointestinal (GI) system! 🔹 Stress can influence the coordination of the swallowing reflex. Disruptions in this reflex may lead to difficulties in swallowing, potentially contributing to the regurgitation of milk or formula. It can affect the normal rhythmic contractions of the digestive tract, known as peristalsis. Changes in GI motility can lead to slower or irregular movement of food through the digestive system, contributing to reflux! 🙌🏻 Gentle adjustments help promote the parasympathetic (rest and digest) side of the nervous system.
